Delta Reign Preorder: Which Big US Chains Still Take Them
Pokémon Center buyers started posting cancellation emails on October 28. Two days later we read the Delta Reign pages of four big US chains, GameStop, Walmart, Target and Best Buy, for who still takes a preorder, at what price, and how you get out of one.

On October 30, a week before Delta Reign's November 6 release, the best Delta Reign preorder a big US chain sold itself was GameStop's Elite Trainer Box at $89.99, $13.19 under TCGplayer's market price. We read the Delta Reign pages of GameStop, Walmart, Target and Best Buy that day, two days after Pokémon Center buyers started posting cancellation emails, and again on November 1. Target and Best Buy weren't taking preorders, and every Walmart preorder we found came from a reseller. We didn't survey independent game stores or Amazon.
We'd take an open preorder only if it costs less than TCGplayer's market price for the same box and you can still cancel it. On October 30 that left GameStop's ETB, with its bundle level with the market.
Pokémon Center buyers posted Delta Reign cancellations from October 28
Pokémon Center's Delta Reign preorders opened on September 30, and the first wave "sold out within hours," Bill's Archive reports. Pokémon Center Support still lists the ETB, booster bundle and booster box as shipping in "Early November 2026." Then on October 28, u/LetsGoLesko8 posted their second cancelled order in a row, a booster box (375 points as of October 30, with 181 comments): "Never used a bot, or AI, never bought multiple times - really a bummer since there is nowhere else near me that sells Pokemon anywhere close to MSRP."
Our October 30 prices back that up for anyone without a local store. The smallest markup we found on an open ETB, bundle or box preorder was 36%, a Walmart reseller's $219.99 booster box against its $161.64 list, and Walmart can't cancel that one for you. GameStop's ETB ran 80% over list. In the same thread, one buyer lost a single booster bundle and guessed Pokémon Center had oversold. Pokémon Center hasn't said why. Its preorder FAQ gives one reason for cancellations, "an issue with the billing or shipping information," and says those orders "cannot be reinstated." Our Pokémon Center preorder rules cover its charges and the cancellations you can't fix.
GameStop was the one big chain listing its own Delta Reign preorders on October 30
| Product | List price | GameStop preorder | Lowest reseller preorder we found | TCGplayer market |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Elite Trainer Box | $49.99 | $89.99, dated Nov 27 | $109.77, Walmart seller | $103.18 |
| Booster Bundle | $26.94 | $49.99 | $59.99, Walmart seller | $49.72 |
| Booster Box (36 packs) | $161.64 | $299.99 | $219.99, Walmart seller | $229.09 |
Prices read October 30, 2026 from GameStop's product pages, Walmart's preorder page and TCGplayer's product data (04:35 UTC). List prices from Bill's Archive; The Pokémon Company doesn't publish MSRPs, so "list" is the launch price at Pokémon Center or a major US store.

GameStop's ETB is $13.19 under TCGplayer's $103.18. Its bundle is 27 cents over TCGplayer's $49.72, so you'd pay market price for the right to cancel. Its booster box costs $299.99, $70.90 more than the same box sells for on TCGplayer. Pro members pay $85.49 for the ETB and $47.49 for the bundle. Each product has a limit of 2 per account, and the ETB page showed "400+ Purchased Recently." When we read GameStop and TCGplayer again on November 1, GameStop's three prices hadn't changed and its ETB page said "600+." TCGplayer's ETB had risen to $105.82, $15.83 above GameStop's, and its bundle had slipped to $49.23, 76 cents under GameStop's.
GameStop dates its ETB November 27, three weeks after Pokémon's November 6, while its box, bundle and blister listings say November 6. GameStop doesn't explain the gap, and its help center says a reservation "does not guarantee that shipments arrive on an exact day." All three pages, ETB, bundle and box, showed "Currently Unavailable" at the store they picked for us, with a link to check other stores for a pickup preorder, so whether you can still place one depends on your store. Our Delta Reign ETB price check goes into what the box itself is worth.
GameStop's two help pages disagree on when a $89.99 online preorder is charged
GameStop's pickup preorder page, updated October 1, says "You will be charged at checkout!" Its older general preorder page, updated August 21, says checkout places "a temporary authorization" that "is not a charge," and that you're "charged about 1 week before the release date." For the November 27 ETB that's the difference between paying on October 30 and paying around November 20. The newer page is the one written for online pickup orders, so we'd expect the charge at checkout. Either way, cancel before release or within 30 days after it and the refund goes back to your card; after 30 days you get a digital gift card. You can't move the order to another store. Online orders can only be cancelled until they enter "final processing," and an in-store preorder, which takes a deposit of at least $10, has to be cancelled in person at the store where you placed it.
Both pages set a pickup deadline only for those in-store deposit preorders: 48 hours after release, after which "the physical copy may be sold to other customers" and the deposit stays on your account. For the November 6 products that's November 8. Neither page gives a deadline for an online pickup preorder you paid in full.

That fits what u/Happy-Ratio-2881 (65 points as of October 30) was told by GameStop customer service, that the deadline covers deposit holders: "Those who paid in full, that box belongs to them." Stores haven't always worked that way. They were replying to a 902-point r/PokemonTCG post (points as of October 30) in which a New York buyer said their paid 30th Celebration ETB preorder was sold when it went unclaimed, and in October another buyer reported paid booster bundles sold on release morning. Neither post says whether the order was placed online. Pick up on release day if you can, whatever you paid.
Every Walmart Delta Reign preorder comes from a reseller
Walmart's trading card preorder page listed seven Delta Reign products on October 30, all due November 6 and all sold and shipped by Marketplace sellers. The ETBs were $109.77 and $120.00, the bundles $59.99 and $62.99, the booster boxes $219.99 and $239.99, and a 3-pack blister $39.99. Five of the seven product pages said "Not returnable." Four listed arrival dates of November 16 to 18, ten to 12 days after release.

For orders like these, Walmart's help page says "We are unable to cancel your Marketplace order." On October 30 the $219.99 display box was the one reseller price under TCGplayer's market, by $9.10. On November 1 there were two. An ETB from Cash Cards Unlimited sat at $104.55, $1.27 under TCGplayer's $105.82. The display box changed sellers between reads a minute apart, $219.99 from one and $229.00 from another, against TCGplayer's $228.13. Walmart can't cancel either one for you: you'd have to ask the seller, and by November 1 all six Delta Reign product pages left on the preorder page said "Not returnable." Walmart's drawing page had no Delta Reign item from October 30 to November 1; on November 1 it listed only closed drawings, with results due October 31. Our Walmart drawing guide explains how those work when one does.
Target and Best Buy show Delta Reign at list but take no preorders

Target's Delta Reign ETB is $59.99 with a limit of 1, street date November 6, and on October 30 it showed "Out of Stock" with an add-to-cart button and no preorder button. It's also a final sale with no returns. Best Buy listed the ETB at $49.99, the booster box at $160.99 and the bundle at $26.94, each "Coming Soon" and flagged as a high demand product with an updated "reservation process." On November 1 both stores had the same prices, Target's ETB was still out of stock online, and neither store had opened preorders. When Best Buy moved Pokémon releases online to invitations in 2025, PokeBeach reported that buyers it picks get 24 hours to check out. These are the two list-price chances left, and our guide to Pokémon cards at MSRP covers how each store hands them out.
Take GameStop's $89.99 ETB, hold its bundle only as a refundable spot, skip the rest
At $89.99, GameStop's ETB cost $13.19 less than TCGplayer's market on October 30 and $15.83 less on November 1, and in most cases, GameStop says, you can cancel a pickup preorder before release for a refund to your card. Its $49.99 bundle is level with the market, so it's worth holding only because you can drop it. We'd skip its $299.99 box and every reseller preorder. On November 1 only two Walmart listings, an ETB and the display box from one of its two sellers, sat under TCGplayer's price, and Walmart can't cancel either for you. If your Pokémon Center order survived, keep it: at $59.99 for 11 packs, the Pokémon Center ETB costs less than any ETB you can still order. For the bundle and box, our Delta Reign price per pack breakdown shows which works out cheaper per pack.
What would change our mind: a Best Buy invitation at $49.99, or TCGplayer's ETB price falling under $89.99 before November 27. In that second case, cancel the GameStop order before its release date and buy on the open market instead; our Delta Reign set page tracks those prices.
