How to Get the Delta Reign Promo Cards From November 6
Kyogre, Groudon and Giratina each sit at a different set of stores, and the Kyogre is not the one in the Elite Trainer Box. Here is the store list, and what the ten store promos before them did after their first week.

From November 6, 2026, spending $15 or more on Pokémon TCG products at one of nine retail chains gets you one of three Delta Reign promo cards: Kyogre, Groudon or Giratina, depending on the store. Each chain gives one card, so collecting all three means three purchases at three different stores.
This page is the store list, plus a check of the ten store promos Pokémon ran in 2026 before this one. Eight had a lower TCGplayer market price in their second week than in their first, including the last seven in a row, from Chaos Rising in May to the 30th Celebration Mewtwo in October. The two that didn't, Perfect Order's Gengar and Luxray in March, are the reason not to wait too long. Delta Reign itself releases the same day, November 6, so the qualifying purchase can be an Elite Trainer Box or a few packs of the new set.
Kyogre at four US chains, Groudon at GameStop, Giratina at Best Buy
Pokémon's announcement on October 23 splits the three cards by chain. All three are English cards numbered in Delta Reign's 103-card main set, with the 30th anniversary "What's Your Favorite?" stamp in the artwork.
| Promo | Number | US stores | Other countries | Earlier 2026 promo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kyogre | 026/103 | Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, Five Below, Macy's | None | Aurorus, Keldeo, Primarina at Hot Topic and B&N; Mewtwo |
| Groudon | 053/103 | GameStop | EB Games (Canada, Australia) | Gengar, Ho-Oh, Zarude; Mewtwo |
| Giratina | 045/103 | Best Buy | Toymate, Mr Toys (Australia) | Luxray, Delphox, Armarouge; Mewtwo |
The offer is valid in store and online, "only good while supplies last", in Pokémon's words. The official page doesn't say how many each store gets or whether there is a limit per customer. Groudon and Giratina follow the same chain pattern as the Perfect Order, Chaos Rising and Pitch Black promos. Kyogre's list is the one that changed.
Target, Walmart and Pokémon Center aren't on the list, and Pokémon hadn't announced a separate Delta Reign promo for Target or Walmart when we checked on October 28. "People going to Target get nothing," u/Happy_Goose3833 wrote in the r/PokemonTCG thread on the promos (4 points as of October 28). That holds for the free card, but Target does sell two Delta Reign checklane blisters of its own, Keldeo & Delibird and Xerneas & Deoxys, each with a booster pack, a promo card and a coin, according to Bill's Archive. Those you pay for. Pokémon Center's own Elite Trainer Box carries a different Kyogre, covered below.
Where the store list breaks: Five Below, Europe and the other Kyogre
Five Below is in, BoxLunch is out
Bill's Archive, a fan database we use for card lists, gives the Kyogre stores as "Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, BoxLunch and Macy's" and calls this "the first time Macy's has offered Pokémon promo cards". Pokémon's own page, read on October 28, says Five Below instead of BoxLunch, and Macy's was already on the official list for the Mewtwo promo in October. The Mewtwo list itself comes in two versions. Pokémon's page now names four US chains, but PokeGuardian's copy of the September 10 announcement names seven, adding Hot Topic, Five Below and BoxLunch, plus BIG W in Australia. Macy's isn't new to store promos, and Five Below was already on the September 10 Mewtwo list in PokeGuardian's copy, though not on Pokémon's current page. We go with Pokémon's current page. If you planned on BoxLunch, check with the store before you count on it.
Nothing for Europe or New Zealand
The official list names the US, Canada and Australia only. On r/PokemonTCG on October 24, u/G_Robby asked what non-US collectors wanted to know (12 points as of October 28):
The answer on the official page is no. JB Hi-Fi in New Zealand gave out Luxray, Delphox and Armarouge, the promos Best Buy had in the US, for Perfect Order, Chaos Rising and Pitch Black. It isn't on the list this time.
The store Kyogre is not the Elite Trainer Box Kyogre
The Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box promo is Kyogre MEP 117, the Illustration Rare artwork from the Japanese Storm Emeralda set, and the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box has two copies, one with a Pokémon Center stamp. The store promo is the set's regular Kyogre, 026/103, with the anniversary stamp added. If a listing just says "Kyogre promo", the number tells you which one it is. The four Build & Battle Box promos from the Delta Reign prerelease are a separate group again.
They don't count toward a set
u/Psychaitea asked in the same thread whether cards that "all say DLR on the bottom" are needed for a 30th anniversary master set; u/hartforbj's reply was "This is grand master set territory not master set". Our master set cost totals count no promos and no stamped variants, so these sit outside them.
Store rules differ on the day
Stock is where people come unstuck. Under the Mewtwo announcement on r/PokemonDeals, u/gbach10 (17 points as of October 28) pointed out the promo started "the same day the 30th booster bundles release, so $15 minimum should be easy." The reply from u/Joecoolsouth (11 points as of October 28) described the other side, at a Barnes & Noble during Pitch Black: "They sold out of all their pokemon and refused to give out any cards even if you bought something else." Another B&N did it differently, according to u/torywestside: "they let us buy other Pokemon things to hit the requirement, like binders and such."
So the rule differs by store, and so does stock. Phoning ahead doesn't always help either: u/Illegitimateshyguy (3 points as of October 28) listed the answers stores give, from "we sold out" to "we havent gotten them yet", and wrote that you can call the same one and get all of them. If the card is the point, the order that makes sense:
- Pick the chain for the card you want from the table above.
- Make it a purchase you'd make anyway: Delta Reign packs, a booster bundle, sleeves.
- Ask at the till before you pay whether they still have the promo, and whether accessories count toward the minimum.
On r/PokemonTCG, u/Dall3578's complaint (15 points as of October 28) was that one card per chain splits collectors up: "I stop shopping at Gamescalp about a year ago so no Groudon for me." That's the case for buying the one you miss as a single later.
Eight of ten store promos were cheaper in their second week
u/LostGraduation asked the thread "how fast do these dissapear?" Store stock we can't measure, but the resale market we can. On October 28 we read TCGplayer's weekly price history for the ten English store promos Pokémon announced in 2026 before this one: three for Perfect Order in March, three for Chaos Rising in May, three for Pitch Black in July and the 30th Celebration Mewtwo in October.

Chart: SetPulls. Source: TCGplayer price history API, read Oct 28, 2026.
In eight of the ten, the release week was dearer than the week after it. Ho-Oh, the GameStop card with a GameStop logo, went from $79.05 in the week of May 18 to $67.24 the next week. The Pitch Black three, Mewtwo, Keldeo, Delphox and Perfect Order's Aurorus all dropped in week two as well. The exceptions were two of the year's first three. Gengar, Perfect Order's GameStop card, went from $108.04 in the week of March 23 to $123.03, and Luxray, the Best Buy card, from $12.41 to $17.00. Nothing was listed for the Delta Reign three on TCGplayer when we searched on October 28, so there is no price for them yet.
After week two the paths split. Gengar kept going, to $222.66 in the week of May 4, six weeks after launch and twice its first week, then slid back to $76.27 by October 28. Luxray peaked at $29.19 in the week of May 11 and was $15.88 on October 28, still above its launch week. The three Chaos Rising promos, with a store logo or the set logo, ended well down: on October 28, Ho-Oh was $16.13, Keldeo $8.17 and Delphox $11.71, 49% to 80% under their launch weeks, although Keldeo and Delphox bounced for a few weeks in the summer. The three Pitch Black promos, the first with the "What's Your Favorite?" stamp, sank too. Primarina and Armarouge bottomed out in the week of August 3, at $8.61 and $16.42, and Zarude in the week of September 21 at $27.05. Primarina then went from $10.60 that week to $23.81 the next, the week the Mewtwo promo came out, and kept going to $55.02.

TCGplayer's seller blog flagged the jump on October 7 and gave a reason: "Mewtwo raised the visibility of the other three promos with this stamp, and they all became popular by association." The timing matches, and supply points the same way: at 02:42 UTC on October 28, Armarouge had 17 listings and Zarude 19, against 130 for Mewtwo. That's one read at one time, not a trend. The unstamped Primarina 020/084 from Pitch Black was $0.25 the same morning, and its stamped twin $55.02.

Mewtwo carries the same stamp, and it went the other way. It went to more stores than any earlier promo: four US chains plus Canada and four in Oceania on Pokémon's page, seven US chains in the version PokeGuardian copied on September 10. TCGplayer's history counts 1,337 Near Mint copies sold since October 2, nearly twice Aurorus's 689 since March, the next highest. Its price fell from $15.10 in launch week to $9.16. What made the others climb is less clear. Primarina went to three US chains, like Keldeo, and still more than tripled. Gengar and Luxray had no anniversary stamp and one US chain each, and they rose in week two anyway, while Ho-Oh and Delphox had one US chain each and fell. Ten cards aren't enough to say which of the three Delta Reign promos will hold its price, so we won't guess.
Spend the $15 where your card is, then skip launch week for the other two
Get the Delta Reign promo you want with a $15 Pokémon purchase you were already planning, at the chain that carries it, and don't pay launch-week prices for the other two. Eight of the ten earlier store promos had a lower TCGplayer market price in their second week than in their first. Six of them, Gengar, Aurorus, Ho-Oh, Keldeo, Delphox and Mewtwo, were still below their launch weeks on October 28.
Waiting longer than that is a bet. Gengar went from $108.04 to $222.66 in six weeks. Primarina sat around $9 for two months, then went from $10.60 to $55.02 in five weeks. Luxray never came back down to its $12.41 first week. Groudon is GameStop's card this time, and GameStop's promo opened as the dearest of the three for Perfect Order, Chaos Rising and Pitch Black alike, so a jump there would cost the most. u/AlphaTravel's plan under the Mewtwo post, "eBay. I'll wait for someone to sell them", sat at −3 points on October 28. For Mewtwo, the wait paid: $15.10 in launch week, $9.16 on October 28. If missing a card would bother you, buy it in its second week, the cheaper week in eight of ten cases, rather than waiting on a slide.
We'd drop that advice if TCGplayer prices for the three Delta Reign promos hold or rise in the week of November 9, as Gengar's and Luxray's did in March. Then the second-week dip isn't coming, and buying early starts to make sense. If you do buy singles, our guide to spotting fake Pokémon cards covers the checks worth doing on any card bought online.
