Pokémon's official images of four Delta Reign products out November 6, 2026: the booster display box, Elite Trainer Box, Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box and booster bundle

Pokemon cards Black Friday prices went up on TCGplayer last year. In the week of Black Friday 2025, 12 of 15 sealed products cost more than the week before, and copies sold rose 77%, from 1,842 to 3,252.

That matters if you're planning to buy Elite Trainer Boxes, booster bundles or booster boxes this November. Black Friday 2026 is November 27, and a store price at distributor list ($49.99 for an ETB, $26.94 for a booster bundle) already beats the open market on every current set. The open market in Black Friday week didn't.

A 2026 deal has to beat $49.99 an ETB and $26.94 a bundle

Start with the two numbers that decide whether a price is a deal: the distributor list price, and what the same box sells for on TCGplayer today. The Pokémon Company doesn't publish MSRPs, so the list figures come from trackers. Celadon Info lists $49.99 for the ETB and $26.94 for the booster bundle of all six current sets, and $161.64 for the Delta Reign booster box. Stores can charge more than list. On October 16, Best Buy showed the Delta Reign ETB at list, while Target had it at $59.99 and GameStop at $89.99. Here's what TCGplayer's market price was on November 2.

Per pack counts 9 packs an ETB, 6 a bundle and 36 a box. Bill's Archive gives those counts for Perfect Order, Chaos Rising and Pitch Black, Celadon Info for the Ascended Heroes and 30th Celebration ETBs, and Pokémon's product page for Delta Reign. For Perfect Order, Chaos Rising and Pitch Black, each November 2 price rests on 2 to 12 sales from the week's first days. TCGplayer's search for an Ascended Heroes or a 30th Celebration booster box turns up ETBs, bundles and tins but no box, and we found no list price for the other three sets' boxes.

All 13 products with a list price sell above it, from 1.31x for the Perfect Order Booster Bundle to 2.76x for the Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle. So any store ETB at list is a deal by this measure: it's $18.61 under the cheapest current ETB on TCGplayer, Pitch Black's at $68.60. A "Black Friday price" of $69.99 on a Pitch Black ETB would be more than the market price, with a banner on it. For 30th Celebration, our ETB contents and MSRP page shows what the list-price box holds against its $119.61 market price.

Bar chart of distributor list price against TCGplayer market price on November 2, 2026 for 13 sealed products: ETBs from $68.60 to $123.19 against $49.99, booster bundles from $35.39 to $74.44 against $26.94, and the Delta Reign booster box at $228.56 against $161.64Bar chart of distributor list price against TCGplayer market price on November 2, 2026 for 13 sealed products: ETBs from $68.60 to $123.19 against $49.99, booster bundles from $35.39 to $74.44 against $26.94, and the Delta Reign booster box at $228.56 against $161.64 Chart: SetPulls. The older booster boxes are the one place the open market gets close. Pitch Black's box, which Bill's Archive lists at "36 booster packs, 10 cards per pack," was $179.52 on TCGplayer, or $4.99 a pack. That's less a pack than an ETB at full list ($5.55), though the ETB adds sleeves and a promo. Our booster bundle vs booster box comparison runs the per-pack math across the Mega-era sets.

Delta Reign is the new box on this year's shelves. Pokémon's November product page has its booster display box "Available November 6, 2026" and says: "With each Booster Display Box, you bring home 36 booster packs, each containing 10 cards and one Basic Energy." Its three prices above are presale prices, set before a single box has shipped. Our Delta Reign price per pack page has every product's list, and the Delta Reign ETB guide covers the Kyogre promo and what the last three sets' ETBs did after release.

Black Friday week 2025 sold 77% more, at higher prices on 12 of 15

Black Friday 2025 was November 28; the Office of Personnel Management lists Thanksgiving as "Thursday, November 27." TCGplayer's price history groups sales into weeks that start on Monday, so Black Friday sits in the week of November 24. We read that history for 15 sealed products that were already out before November 2025, from the 151 ETB to the Mega Evolution booster box, and compared each one with the week before.

Bar chart of the change in TCGplayer market price from the week of November 17 to the week of November 24, 2025, for 15 sealed products: 12 rose, from 0.1% for the Journey Together ETB to 12.3% for the Surging Sparks booster box, and 3 fell, the Journey Together booster bundle by 0.9%, the Prismatic Evolutions ETB by 5.9% and the 151 ETB by 7.0%Bar chart of the change in TCGplayer market price from the week of November 17 to the week of November 24, 2025, for 15 sealed products: 12 rose, from 0.1% for the Journey Together ETB to 12.3% for the Surging Sparks booster box, and 3 fell, the Journey Together booster bundle by 0.9%, the Prismatic Evolutions ETB by 5.9% and the 151 ETB by 7.0% Chart: SetPulls. Source: TCGplayer price history, read Nov 2, 2026.

The market price rose on 12 of the 15. The Surging Sparks booster box went from $229.12 to $257.33, up 12.3%, and the White Flare ETB from $74.85 to $82.15, up 9.8%. Sales jumped at the same time: the Destined Rivals booster box sold 185 copies, 5.6 times the 33 of the week before, while its price rose 5.4% to $406.67.

Three fell. The 151 ETB slipped 7.0%, from $379.02 to $352.65; the Prismatic Evolutions ETB 5.9%, to $120.62; the Journey Together booster bundle 0.9%. A market price is TCGplayer's figure from recent sales, so any one buyer could have paid more or less. Still, 12 of 15 moved up: Black Friday week on TCGplayer was busier and pricier than the week before.

The cheapest weeks came in December and January, never Black Friday

We then looked for the week each product was cheapest across twelve weeks, November 10, 2025 to February 1, 2026. Add the three Phantasmal Flames products and that's 18. Not one had its low in Black Friday week.

Bar chart of the week each of 18 sealed products had its lowest TCGplayer market price between November 10, 2025 and February 1, 2026: 2 in the week of November 10, 1 on November 17, none in Black Friday week, 3 on December 1, 2 on December 8, 5 on December 15 and 5 spread over January; below it, the Phantasmal Flames ETB falling from $96.24 in release week to $83.94 in Black Friday week and $73.34 in the week of December 15Bar chart of the week each of 18 sealed products had its lowest TCGplayer market price between November 10, 2025 and February 1, 2026: 2 in the week of November 10, 1 on November 17, none in Black Friday week, 3 on December 1, 2 on December 8, 5 on December 15 and 5 spread over January; below it, the Phantasmal Flames ETB falling from $96.24 in release week to $83.94 in Black Friday week and $73.34 in the week of December 15 Chart: SetPulls. Source: TCGplayer price history, read Nov 2, 2026.

Of the 15 older products, 3 bottomed before Black Friday, in the weeks of November 10 or 17, and the other 12 after it: 7 in December and 5 in January. Even the two ETBs that fell in Black Friday week were cheaper the week after. The Prismatic Evolutions ETB hit $111.93 in the week of December 1, and the 151 ETB $351.78, 87 cents under its Black Friday week price.

A set out two weeks before Black Friday kept falling into December

The rule breaks hardest for a brand-new set. Phantasmal Flames came out on November 14, 2025; Pokémon's product showcase said to "look for them all when the expansion arrives on November 14, 2025." Its ETB went from $96.24 in release week to $83.94 in Black Friday week, then $73.34 in the week of December 15. The booster box fell from $308.38 to $271.38, then to $212.33 in the week of December 8. The booster bundle went $49.21, $45.36, then $40.77.

Delta Reign sits in the same spot this year, out November 6, three weeks before Black Friday instead of two. One set in one year is a single case, and the low didn't last: that ETB was $147.00 on TCGplayer on November 2, 2026.

Walmart's 2026 Black Friday deals run November 23 to 29

Walmart has published its dates. Its October 26 announcement runs Early Black Friday Deals from November 12 to 15, then Black Friday Deals from November 23 to 29, which begin "on Walmart.com at 12:01 a.m. ET and in stores on November 27 at 6 a.m. local time," and Cyber Monday from November 30 to December 2. Walmart+ members get the "hot Deal drops" a day early. The announcement doesn't name a single Pokémon product, so nobody can tell you yet what will be on the shelf.

Last year, the Walmart posts we found on r/PokemonTCG were about its own Black Friday tins and boxes. u/XxUAxX_GHOST posted their "Walmart Black Friday Tins" on November 26, 2025 (25 points as of November 2, 2026), with packs that were "1 destin rival 2 journey together 2 surging sparks." Online stock was shaky. In the same thread u/Effective-Alar (1 point as of November 2) wrote: "I got an email saying my order of 5 was delayed. 2 days later a new email said it was OOS and they had to cancel the order and refund me." Then: "About 4 hours later a door dash driver shows up with the 5 tins and customer service said just keep them."

In stores, the one Black Friday morning report we found was an empty shelf. The night before, someone asked where to look for packs; the top reply, from u/DiggingUpTheCorpses (8 points as of November 2), was "Don't." On the morning itself, u/zugtar (1 point as of November 2) reported back:

"Checked Walmart and Target and didn't see anything available. Picked up a moltres UPC from GameStop. Might check Best Buy and Barnes and noble later." That's one shopper's morning. If the shelf is empty and you turn to TCGplayer instead, last year that week cost more there. If you're going in person, our Pokemon cards at MSRP guide has what each store charged for Delta Reign and its rules, and the Walmart drawing guide covers how Walmart's Pokémon drawings work and what a win was worth. If a marketplace seller offers an ETB well under the prices in the table, read our resealed ETB checks before you pay.

Buy at list in a store, and don't count on TCGplayer's Black Friday week

A store price at or under list is the only Black Friday deal worth chasing on sealed Pokémon this year. For an ETB, list is at least $18.61 under the TCGplayer market price of every current ETB. On the open market, Black Friday week 2025 raised prices on 12 of 15 older products, and none of 18 hit its winter low that week.

If you're buying on TCGplayer anyway, last year's lows came later: 12 of the 15 older products were cheapest in December or January. That's what happened in 2025; this year's market may move differently. And if you're choosing between the three cheapest sets in the table, our Perfect Order vs Pitch Black vs Chaos Rising comparison covers what each one's packs hold.

What would change our mind: a large retailer announcing ETBs or booster bundles under list for Black Friday, or TCGplayer prices in the week of November 23, 2026 falling against the week before on most of these products.
