The 30th Celebration Figure Collection boxes for Mew and Mewtwo side by side, each with five booster packs, a promo card, an oversize card and a figure behind the window

The 30th Celebration Figure Collection comes in two boxes at one $29.99 sticker price, Mew and Mewtwo, both out November 6, 2026. On October 15 TCGplayer had the Mewtwo box at $155.82 and the Mew box at $131.76.

The $24.06 between them isn't in the cards. Mew's promo was the pricier single that morning, by $13.88. What the market charges extra for is Mewtwo's figure and oversize card, and it puts almost twice as much on them as on Mew's.

What's in the 30th Celebration Figure Collection: 5 packs and a figure

Pokémon's product showcase lists the same four things in each box: a foil promo card and an oversize card of the box's Pokémon, a sculpted figure, and "five booster packs from the special 30th Celebration expansion".

On cards alone, Mew's box is worth $13.88 more. So all of Mewtwo's premium sits in the figure and the oversize card: $78.37 for those two against $40.43 for Mew's. That's $37.94 more for Mewtwo's figure and card than for Mew's, from boxes with the same sticker.

The numbers underneath are thin. Each promo has 11 sales on TCGplayer in three months. The boxes have more, 507 for Mew and 546 for Mewtwo, and their last sales crossed over: Mewtwo's went for $124.89, Mew's for $144.79. Mewtwo leads on market price, but the size of the lead moves from one sale to the next.

Mewtwo is 407% over MSRP; only the 2-Pack Blister is further over

Bill's Archive's October 13 table lists 21 English 30th Celebration products with their US MSRP and TCGplayer market price. Mewtwo, at $152.03 that day, was 407% over its MSRP. Only the $9.99 2-Pack Blister, at 471%, was further over. Mew came fifth, at 337%.

Over three months both have come down: TCGplayer's three-month chart has Mewtwo down 24.40% and Mew down 35.77%.

Getting either at sticker has been hard since pre-orders opened. On September 12, u/Queen_Cheetah (1 point) asked r/pokemon's weekly questions thread how to get the Mew box: "The only sites accepting pre-orders all want $150+, and Best Buy is the only one that has it listed at the $29.99 price tag (but isn't taking pre-orders-???)." The next day u/Hollys_Stand (1 point) posted in r/PokemonTCGCollectors about a GameStop pre-order at double the sticker:

"I did pre-order 2 of the Mew/Mewtwo figure collection and they are selling them at $60/each." At $60, that's $71.76 under Mew's October 15 market price and $95.82 under Mewtwo's.

Opened at sticker, Mew's promo makes the box pay; Mewtwo's doesn't

Our worth-opening model has no Figure Collection row, but it prices the same five packs in the Binder Collection: $26.63 on average after selling costs (13.25% and $0.30 a card), on October 12 card prices. That's 11% under the sticker before you count the promo.

Sell the promo too, at its October 15 price, and Mew's adds $20.37 after costs, for $47.00. Mewtwo's adds $8.33, for $34.96. Both clear the sticker on average.

The average flatters them. The model's typical five-pack opening, the median, returns $11.79. With the promo that's $32.16 for Mew, just over the sticker, and $20.12 for Mewtwo, under it. A typical Mew box pays for itself; a Mewtwo box needs a good pull.

At market price neither comes close. The average with the promo is 36% of what the Mew box costs, and 22% of the Mewtwo box.

Our verdict on the 30th Celebration Figure Collection: open Mew at $29.99, buy Mewtwo for the figure

The call: at $29.99, Mew is the box to open, because its promo is worth more and covers the gap a typical opening leaves. Mewtwo at sticker is a figure with packs attached. Take it if the figure is what you're after.

Above sticker, don't buy either to open. If it's the card you want, the promos were $23.83 (Mew) and $9.95 (Mewtwo) as singles on October 15. If it's the figure, today's prices have you paying $40.43 for Mew's figure and oversize card or $78.37 for Mewtwo's. Mewtwo's extra $37.94 rests on prices with 11 promo sales behind them.

What would change our mind: the Mewtwo box trading under $117.88 after November 6. At that price its figure and oversize card cost no more than Mew's, and we'll say so in a dated update.

Under $62.58, a Figure Collection beats the booster bundle for packs

If you're offered a box above sticker, check it against buying the same packs in a booster bundle. At the bundle's $75.10 for six packs on October 13, five packs cost $62.58. A Figure Collection under that line gets you cheaper packs than the bundle, with the promo and the figure on top. Pick a box and enter the price you're offered:

The calculator counts the packs only, at our model's $5.33 a pack after selling costs. It leaves out the promo and the figure, so a Mew box a little over the line can still make sense if you'd sell the promo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Pokémon Center sell the 30th Celebration Figure Collections?

Pokémon's 30th Celebration product showcase lists the Figure Collection for November 6, 2026, and tells buyers to look for the products "at the Pokémon Center and where other Pokémon TCG products are sold as they release". It doesn't say whether the Pokémon Center will take pre-orders before then.
