The 30th Celebration Ditto Premium Collection lists at $39.99 for eight packs, a Ditto promo card and an acrylic display. On October 15, 2026 its TCGplayer market price was $192.70, 4.8 times the sticker, for a box that doesn't ship until November 6.

That price is more than the parts. Eight loose 30th Celebration packs and the Ditto promo bought as a single came to $145.01 the same morning, so the box costs $47.69 extra for the stand and the shrink wrap.

What's in the 30th Celebration Ditto Premium Collection: 8 packs for $39.99

Pokémon's product page lists four things: "1 promo card featuring Ditto", "1 acrylic card display", eight 30th Celebration booster packs and a Pokémon TCG Live code card. It goes on sale at Pokémon Center and other stores on November 6, 2026.

At sticker, that's $5.00 a pack, the same as a $9.99 mini tin with two packs, and the Ditto and the stand come on top.

The box is 133% of its parts. That's the opposite of the 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection, where the Day box sold for 49% of what its pieces cost the same morning.

So the $47.69 gap buys the acrylic stand and an unopened box. If you're opening it, the stand is all that's left of that $47.69, and it's a lot for a stand. If the sealed box is the point, at least you know what the extra is for.

The promo's price rests on 17 sales between $29.95 and $50.00; the most recent was $49.95. The box has 389. Neither is a big market yet.

Ditto holds 4.82 times its MSRP, more than any other 30th Celebration box we track

On October 12 we read the six 30th Celebration boxes our sealed tracker follows with a sourced MSRP on TCGplayer. The Ditto Premium Collection had the biggest markup of the six. Bill's Archive's October 13 table has one product we don't track higher still: the Mewtwo Figure Collection, $152.03 against a $29.99 MSRP.

Bar chart of TCGplayer market price divided by MSRP on October 12, 2026: Ditto Premium Collection 4.82 times, Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box 4.75, Ultra-Premium Collection Night 3.85, Binder Collection 3.43, Ultra-Premium Collection Day 3.12, Elite Trainer Box 2.78Bar chart of TCGplayer market price divided by MSRP on October 12, 2026: Ditto Premium Collection 4.82 times, Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box 4.75, Ultra-Premium Collection Night 3.85, Binder Collection 3.43, Ultra-Premium Collection Day 3.12, Elite Trainer Box 2.78 Chart: SetPulls. It hasn't moved much either. Bill's Archive has the box at $197.80 on September 3; it was $192.70 on October 15, down 2.6%. Between September 3 and October 13, Bill's Archive has the Elite Trainer Box down 27.1% and the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box down 40.7%. Both went on sale September 16, in the middle of that stretch.

In September, at least one player expected an easy box. u/Altruistic_Finish509 (1 point), in a September 29 r/PokemonTCG thread, answered a question about the English Ditto: "It’s coming out in a collection box in English so should be quite easy to pick up." On September 17, u/cribsheet88 (3 points) listed the MSRP pre-orders they'd placed in r/pokemoncardcollectors, and the one they hadn't got:

"I put in msrp pre orders for the next wave of etbs, booster packs, ultra premium sets (espion and umbreon, missed out on ditto), and tins."

We'd expect the price to come down once the box is in stores, as the two Elite Trainer Boxes did around their release. That's judgement from those two boxes, not a forecast with data behind it.

Opened at $39.99 the packs pay for the box; at $192.70 they return $42.61

Our worth-opening model puts the eight packs at $42.61 on average after selling costs (13.25% and $0.30 a card), on October 12 card prices. That's 7% over the sticker price before you count the Ditto. Sell the promo too, at $37.01, and you'd keep $31.81 more, for $74.42 against $39.99.

The average flatters it. The model's typical opening of those eight packs, the median, returns $24.09, and only 38% of simulated boxes got back $39.99 from the cards alone. Add the Ditto's $31.81 and even the median box comes to $55.90, so at sticker the promo is what makes opening pay.

At market price it isn't close. The model has opening at $192.72 returning 78% less than it costs. To get back $192.70 from the box, the Ditto would have to sell for $173.36, 4.7 times its October 15 price.

Our verdict: pre-order at $39.99, or buy the Ditto for $37.01

The call: if a store still takes pre-orders at $39.99, take it. At $5.00 a pack with a promo and a stand, the cards alone return about the sticker on average.

Above that, split it. The Ditto promo was $37.01 as a single on October 15, and eight loose packs were $108.00. That's $47.69 less than the box for everything except the stand. Only buy the sealed box at market if the stand or the unopened box is what you want.

What would change our mind: the box trading under $145.01 after November 6, the price of its packs and promo bought separately. Then the box is the cheaper way to get both, and we'll say so in a dated update. The sealed price tracker logs it each time we read it.

Under $100.13, a Ditto box beats the booster bundle for packs

If you're offered a box above sticker, check the price against buying the same packs in a booster bundle. At the bundle's $75.10 for six packs on October 13, eight packs cost $100.13. A Ditto box under that line gets you cheaper packs than the bundle, with the promo and the stand on top; over it, you're paying for those two.

The calculator uses the same bundle price and our model's $5.33 a pack in expected hits after selling costs. It doesn't count the Ditto, so a box a little over the line can still make sense if you'd sell the promo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you pull the 30th Celebration Ditto promo from booster packs?

Not in English. The Ditto numbered 106 is a promo that comes in this box. In the Japanese 30th Celebration set it was an Illustration Rare, and Bill's Archive notes it was cut from the English set and turned into a product promo, along with Nidorina. English packs have their own Ditto, common 115/128, which had a TCGplayer market price of $0.30 on October 15.
